    Agree - I just tried to clean up old junk found in the yard of my (rented) house and now I know why some people just throw things into the back alley (which must cost both the environment and the city more) as we had several items that fall into a 'grey area' where there is no acceptable place to take them. We visited Richmond and Vancouver recycling/garbage centres and spent an hour on websites trying to find out where to take things. We can't encourage people to do the right thing if it is difficult, or simply impossible.
