The draft Greenest City Action Plan will include directions that support less polluting, appropriately sized goods movement vehicles, including rail where appropriate. Trucks will still have a role to play for the forseeable future. Success requires support and leadership from regional, provincial, and federal partners.

An error occurred while saving the comment Linda D. commentedI agree... one easy first step to contribute to this cause is to encourage everyone to send their junk mail to Ottawa. Mailing to MPs is free so if we overload their mailboxes with junk, they might get the message and do something to change policy on junk mail!

This kind of work is already underway all over the City, much of which is led by community organisations. Find one in your neighbourhood, or one that works on issues that you care about, and join in. This action plan includes building supports (e.g. tools, resources) to support community groups in talking about, and working toward, the greenest city.
