The plan addresses incentives for low- or no- emission buildings. Off-grid is not emphasized as one way of achieving our energy reduction and carbon neutral goals is through sharing excess renewable energy between buildings – which requires grid connection.

Going off grid is extremely expensive and we need to provide incentives to do so. The costs for going off Grid will be massive(way more than a 5 year tax break) but imagine all the high paying jobs and experience that would be created? Jobs for the future providing benefits to all.
This benefit would be for all property owners..rich, poor and otherwise. Plus our overall carbon foot print would be reduced benefiting everyone. I think this is a win win.
