Increase incentives for people to trade in old woodstoves for more efficient ones
Metro Vancouver already offers a $250 rebate to trade in their old uncertified wood burning appliance for a new low emission appliance. This could be increased and/or more heavily advertised.

City of Vancouver is part of, and encourages, Metro Vancouver’s woodstove exchange program. This idea is included in the Draft Action Plan.

this program would work if your woodstove was being traded for a gas stove. THe result of this program is more people burning wood. Bad Idea. Result higher health care costs

The new stoves only promote wood burning. 2 new stoves would be just as bad as 1 old one. Banning wood burning appliances is the greenest way.
