Convert streets to mini parks, green linkages and/or open space
The conversion of streets/asphalt into mini parks with bike paths, green linkages and landscaping would optimize pedestrian and cycling access, and improves neighbourhood connections. Incorporate walkways, large trees, low shrub planting, furnishings and special features.

I would love to see the green linkages in some of the less aesthetically-pleasing areas in Vancouver. Examples: (1) Jackson Avenue to the Seawall along Union Street, it would make it so much prettier, bikeable, and run-able!, (2) Pine Street from the South Granville area to the beach would make a terrific pedestrian pathway, and (3) Main Street is so fun but misses out on some serious green action - that hipster zone needs some shrubbery!

This sounds lovely. It would be great to start on the bike routes.
