Most people are concerned about getting to work on time not having fun.
This maybe OK with people who do not have to punch a time clock and have a locker and shower stall to use at work. -

I'd like to see Vancouver support sustainable commuting by holding fun events to get people thinking differently about how they get to work. One such idea is a crazy sustainable commuting day. We could commute to work in non-traditional, yet sustainable ways like canoeing, stilt walking, rollerblading, skateboarding, horse-backing…etc.
It would be an inclusive fun event, yet really get people to rethink why they are driving so far to work. After all, the crazy thing is to be spending so much of your life in traffic.
